Come to Reconnect Earth's Overnight Student Activism Summit!

Washington’s Padilla Bay

Reconnect Earth would like to respectfully acknowledge that this event takes place on the traditional, sovereign territory of the Swinomish and other Indigenous nations. We challenge ourselves and others to seek out ways to help rectify past and present-day injustices against Indigenous peoples and work to dismantle systems that perpetuate colonialism.

Join Reconnect Earth for the weekend of January 25-26th at Bay View State Park on the edge of Padilla Bay, getting to know this estuary ecosystem and discussing Indigenous history, social justice in outdoor spaces, and how to take local action on environmental issues! We’ll spend Saturday night in the park’s cozy cabins and the days exploring the park and surrounding area, networking with peers, and learning from each other. Along the way we’ll take time to enjoy being immersed in a biologically diverse coastal ecosystem rich with animal and plant life. If you like, stay an additional night Sunday and participate Monday morning in an optional visit the offices of our members of Congress, where we’ll deliver a message in favor of socially just solutions to climate change
