During this time of unprecedented environmental crises–from climate change to biodiversity loss–international solidarity with groups fighting for justice in the developing world is more important than ever. On this trip, we’ll grapple with the deadly legacies of past and present-day colonialism in Latin America while learning about ongoing environmental and social justice issues in the tropics and studying strategies for creating grassroots change. You’ll come back feeling empowered to make a difference on some of the biggest challenges facing our planet.
We will spend our time in Costa Rica on 1,000 acres of forested land owned by the Resonance Retreat Center. Be prepared to camp in primitive conditions in a forest teaming with diverse plants, insects, birds, and other wildlife species. Meals are provided and we’ll work with you to help make sure you have any equipment you’ll need. Tuition is $1,200 with a limited number of partial scholarships available. Program dates are March 22nd-28th, 2020. Apply by February 1st here!
